EPP should match any dell home deal. you have to call them though.

that really is an amazing deal, i ordered mine for $100 less but i only have the p8600 and 320GB HDD and no gift card...

They took so long with my shipping that i got them to agree to give me that comp for the same price as mine but in the end, my original order ended up getting here yesterday and i didn't want to have to wait again... they still gave me the $100 gift card though = free 9-cell

But yea, like dinosgoroar said, you have to call them. What they'll ask you to do is save it in your cart, then they'll import it into their system and give you the 7% off - comes out to $1250 + $100 gift card which is one of the best deals i've seen in a long while!!

    Good luck :D

Call EPP, and speak with the Rep, they are supposed to match/beat Dell home pricing! ;) (And you should get free shipping also) :) *Save* you configs that you want..that way you have them in front of you, and the EPP Rep can readily access them! ;)

7% is the Customary discount, unless your Employer has a more applicable discount!

    Cin ;) :)

That's a good deal, but it's $1348 after the 7% discount. With the one I'm looking at, I want it for $1349 + the 7% discount = around 1250$? can i do that?

It's still working for me... anyway, thanks a lot for the help I really appreciate it ;)

EDIT: Just one more question: in that deal I linked originally does anyone know why the 500 gb 7200rpm HDD delays the ship date by so much?

    jshadoww,

Yes, I just called dell and they said they were able to do it over the phone. Just call them, tell them the evalue code, and they do it for you. I'm gonna wait till tomorrow so I get the free upgrade to win 7 ;)

Talked to a dell rep and got quoted $1,254.57 for it. It looks like a steal to me and I'm getting a really itchy trigger finger ;)

P8700, 500gb 7200rpm, RGB, 4gb and I'm getting ready to jump on the deal, my main problem is its above my original budget when i decided to purchase a laptop. I intended to spend $1000-1100 but I'm getting really tempted to just go for it.

If that's what you want, and that is a really good deal..why not just go for it.
You can do the DPA 12 months interest free financing if you decided (if that helps). Your really spending only $150 outside of your highest budget.

Think of it like this..that deal might not be availi' again to you for a bit..or it maybe..you just don't know.

    Your choice, as always.

    Cin.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna take the deal. He said I'd have till at least Wednesday, he threw in free shipping before I even asked for it. I'm just gonna talk to my family about it and hopefully take the plunge. I should probably email the rep though because he said the accidental coverage is $119 more and I thought I saw on the EPP website that its a free year of it on purchases before 7/31
