I have searched the forum but all I see is people complaining about it and no solution.

My SXPS 13 just freezes on wake up randomly. I am running Windows 7 x64. I recently had the motherboard replaced for a different issue but I can not remember if the freezing problem happened before the motherboard replacement.

Did anyone figure out how to fix the freezing issue? Is it hardware related? I have one month left on my warranty.

Nobody is experiencing this anymore? I only have a month left on the warranty.

I called up dell and they told me it was an issue and i was like the only person who has documented the case and i was told that " it could not be fixed" I told them oh well when the motherboard gets fried i will tell you i told you so. Yeah looks like there are three people on this site that i know of yet so far that go through this. Lets get this documented.

I think I'm going to request another motherboard replacement. I'm pretty sure it started happening when I had the motherboard replaced for a different issue which it didn't fix. I will first put an old 20GB hard drive in and install only windows and drivers and see if it continues to do it.

I have only had it replaced once. I have the 9500M SLI card but I always leave it on power saver mode.

i was having a similar problem after i installed 7 where my computer would randomly freeze for minutes at a time. it seems it was a driver issue. i did a search on thgis forum and found someone with a similar problem and they had a link on the 2nd or 3rd page of the topic to another driver and that fixed it for me.

I do not know how to even reproduce the problem. It is very random. Sometimes it wakes from sleep, sometimes it doesn't. The only pattern I can notice is that it has to be asleep for a long time. If I just put the computer to sleep and wake it 10 times in a row it will not do it.

It seems my new motherboard has fixed the problem. I haven't experienced it in days and I left my computer sleeping for about 12 hours.
An interesting thing to note is my computer no longer wakes up automatically when I open the lid but I must press the power button. I don't care either way, but it is just different. My old M1330 acted like this.
