When I first got the laptop, the wifi signal was extremely poor with the dell 1515 card, however, I searched the forums and found that the atheros modded driver pretty much fixed the problem. After upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (from Vista) my wifi is back the old state and installing the latest dell, atheros, and modded drivers do not make a difference at all. I even updated the bios and chipset drivers just in case. I don't think its an issue with the card, because it worked under Vista. Any suggestions :( ?

That's odd. In my case, the wifi card worked flawlessly with the W7 drivers. I think said drivers have been also upgraded (via Windows Update).

You can always try manually installing those (older) Atheros drivers.
