    Hey,

I'm looking at this laptop after checking it out in person at best buy. And, it's pretty sturdy and nice looking. My only major complaint is with the 1) glossy screen and then 2) the piece of plastic that is mounted in front of it. After coming from a LED Matte screen on the E6400, I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to really adjust back to seeing my reflection everytime I look at the screen, but oh well. The piece of plastic though, seems to be really almost loose. I was able to press inwards and see it bend quite a lot, I could bend it all the way to touching the actual screen. That worries me, I don't really understand why you would even put such a feature on this laptop anyway.

I checked out the newer Mac laptops to compare with the same screen features, and interestingly enough I could also bend in the (plastic? or glass? It really didn't feel like glass since I could push it) on the Macbook Pros. Though on the Macbooks, I could barely push it anywhere, maybe because the screen is that much smaller.

What are all of your opinions on this, especially if you own one?

    I own one :D
I have gone from matte to glossy and I don't really prefer 1 over the other because I use mine indoors so I don't have to worry about glare.
I think the plastic over the screen is just some... plastic  It does seem a little cheap. I would rather have it be glass.

You're really going to have to decide for yourself if the glare will be to much or not.

I've switched from matte to glossy on all my laptops. If you're using the laptop indoors there should be very little problems with the glossy screen unless you are sitting next to a window and the sun is directly hitting the screen.

Overall I prefer the glossy look as it's great for movies and such and I like the contrast of the colors on the screen.

Yeah, I guess I can get used to it again as my last laptop was the Asus G1s... I'm just worried about trying to clean that silly plastic screen and about it getting scratched.

It doesn't scratch to easily. If you wipe it with a cloth or something it'll be fine ;)
