I depend highly on a solid wireless connection.

I currently have the the Dell M1330 with the 4965agn. Had some problems at first but is working beautifullynow. I am upgrading to the Dell Studio XPS 13 and it has the Dell 1515 Wireless Card, I've been reading that people are saying the Dell 1515 Wireless card have poor performance. Could anyone recommend a good rock solid wireless card with great performances?

I was thinking of switching out the 4965agn from the old laptop to the new one. Or maybe get the Intel 5300 AGN wireless card. possibly the Intel 5100.

    What would you guys recommend?

the least-problem wireless card is definitely the 4965agn.... intel 5300 is a newer version of 4965 with wifilink

however, i think the Studio XPS 13 uses half-height PCI-e card for the wireless... think you can get 4965 half-height from dell (at a premium), maybe ebay

You are right about the half PCI-e slot but there is actually an open full size mini PCI-E slot . So you would recommend the 5300 instead?

NO!!! Don't upgrade to the intel wifi 5300. Many people agreed that this card works well with intel chipset. I upgraded my SXPS13 to this. Then the computer would freeze at start up, shuting down, and the time you disable the wifi.
