Hey i've been waiting a week for it to reach the M1530, and you can save £150. Looks like an alright deal to me for the spec's too! Thing is looks like there is another XPS laptop on it's way in Day 10!! Can anybody make out which one it could be? They already did a 1330 offer, now the 1530, and it can't be the 17" XPS as that would have a different lid?!?

It is on day 10 at this link - 10 days of Deals - DELL UK

Anyway this is the spec that you get for £699 on this deal, I think its a good deal, but what do you guys think? Worth going for this now or is it not that great of a deal?

    Components

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T8100 (2.10 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 cache)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium SP1 including Media
    1 Year Base Warranty
2.0 mega pixel Camera & Midnight Blue for CCFL Display
    15.4" Widescreen™ WXGA (1280x800) TFT Display (220nits) with TrueLife™
Biometric Fingerprint Reader with BLACK accent
    3072MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [1x2048+1x1024]
    320GB (5.400rpm) SATA Hard Drive
NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 8600M GT with 256MB dedicated graphic memory
Fixed 8x DVD+/-RW Slim Slot Load drive, including SW
    Primary 6-cell Lithium-Ion Battery (56 WHr)

    Intel® Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-Card - Europe - Core 2 Duo Processors

    £699 (was £849)

    EDIT

I just took a look at the regular pricing for the XPS. Well, in reality you only save £30 on top of the regular price for this spec. It is a pre-configured option for the XPS M1530 and usually is £729 (was £849). So they are saying the original price on the 10 days of deals is £849, but you get a £120 saving anyway when its not the 10 days of deals.

Hmmm when its only a £30 saving it doesn't seem that amazing. Still not sure though. Don't NEED the laptop until Dec. My Acer Craptop could last me until then if a great deal doesn't come along.

i noticed that you could only save like £20-40 on all of them and when you add the specs you want, its more expensive

uk needs a 25% or at least 15%

If I were to guess, I'd say Dell is coming out with the Montevina max by July end, with offers in most countries running out by the 25th - 26th of this month. Keeping my fingers crossed as I'm still in the 30 days return for refund stage, so can afford to wait till the last week of August.

I've just had a look at thisdeal and its rubbish. You only save £30 on top of the normal price, but on this deal the laptop doesn't come with bluetooth. To add bluetooth costs £30, so it's exactly the same price.

dell US's ten days of deals are often the same crap... same hardware repackaged at a higher price and then the 'special' discount brings it down to the same price as per normal prices

The deal is TOO bad for myself as I was actually looking at that system but wanted it without bluetooth which wasn't possible at the time. I'm kinda tempted.

If the new centrino 2 came out before mine arrived could I then return it within 7 days and go for one of the new ones? Since you don't get to see the product until it arrives they should let you do this?!? Incase you aren't happy with the product for example.
