Should I update my Nvidia 8400M GS driver?

I'm currently using v. 101.43, which came with my laptop.

My laptop's GPU gets up to around 84 degrees, when under heavy use.

Should I stick with the driver I have, figuring "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"? or should I update to the new driver Dell recommends?

Can I revert back (System Restore?) if I encounter problems? Is it unlikely I'll encounter any problems?

I updated BIOS to A11, by the way, if that matters.

    Thanks for any input!

Oh... also, haven't updated my video driver before. Is it the same as updating your BIOS, click on an exe file and it does it's thing?

    Thanks
