There are thin horizontal white lines flashing on my screen. They only appear in a space the size of a vertical rectangle about two inches wide, near the center of the screen.

They also only appear on programs, but when I minimize all programs, there are no lines.

I just updated the bios to A12 and Nvidia drivers.

    Are you still under warranty?

If you are still under warranty, call Dell asap.

Just wanted to update. The technician came, replaced the motherboard, did not solve the problem at all.

The good news is that Dell tech support was wise enough to also send a LED screen and cable, which the technician then replaced, and it fixed everything.
