    HI All,

I had got my XPS M1530 some 15 days ago. I hadn't noticed any problems. But yesterday, I saw that whenever the sceen fades for transition (example, while booting, time between, the status bar showing "MIcrosoft Corporation" and before the Vista Logo and startup sound appears), there are some green thin lines. Is this a problem to be reported or any laptop would show that? This is the first time I am using a laptop. Please help.

    Manoj.

    Try reinstalling your graphics driver.

Yeah, that's a problem. The cable to the LCD is loose, or the video card is going bad. I had something similar but worse and Dell replaced the video card.

Oh, and try and boot it with an external monitor connected and see if it shows up there, too. If it does, it's video card, not loose cable.
