i was just watching ninja assassin on my laptop (in sig) and i noticed my fans going crazy. it was odd cuz i had never heard my fans going so hard. my laptop is always on my NZXT cryo LX cooler or my x-stand so ventilation is never a problem. anywho, i felt around my laptop and noticed it was unusually hot, everywhere. i then checked CPUID and was shocked!

101c degrees?!?!?!? my baby has never even seen anything over mid-high 70c degrees!  :( i immediately stopped the movie and held my laptop up in the air to see if any vents were blocked. i put it back down on my x-stand and let it idle for a bit and it started idling around the temps u see in the pix up there.

i am really bothered by this. this is the first time my laptop has ever ran it's fan so fast, ran it's fans for so long, and reached over 100c+ degrees. i've spent alot of money on things like my cryo LX, x-stands, lapdesks, and laptop carts to make sure my laptop is runnin at it's fullest potential. i love this laptop, so i really hope my GPU isn't goin out the door. :( :( :(

it's also been blue screening alot on me lately as well. i didn't really pay any attention to it cuz i don't use my m1530 as much anymore. but 101c degrees is really scaring me. what do u guys think i should do? i believe my GPU is still under the +1 year extended warranty. please gimme some insight.

Have you been able to get the temp that high again?

I think you know that if it's continues..and is likely going to ~ you are going to need to contact Dell and use the 1 Year extended warranty for the GPU. They will replace the GPU for you.

Though, just by replacing the GPU is a "temporary fix" for the 1530..as it is prone to a future fail again. :(
