    No, a new model named XPS M1730 will come out featureing Santa Rosa platform and Go 8700M GT graphics card at the end of September.

    ya, i already knew about the 1730, but i don't wanna wait around for it and i don't like the design much....so does the 1710 have it??? im assuming not...

    Other than the M1730, theres no Santa Rosa for a Dell 17" notebook. There are plenty of other gaming notebooks on the market, that are as good, if not better than the XPS M1710 anyway, so you may want to consider them if you are after such a notebook.

    If you are going to spend a little fortune on an XPS gaming notebook from DELL, then wait for the M1730. Few more weeks is definitely worth the platform + graphics upgrade.

    actually, there is the 1720.i think what your trying to say is there is no other xps 17" notebook from dell
