    So will pretty much any 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) modules work in the Inspiron 1520 ?

I seem to recall that the 1520 uses the Santa Rosa platform which has an 800 MT/s front side bus but now I'm seeing that it only supports DDR2-533 and DDR2-667 SO-DIMMs.

This review says it overheated his 1520:

Is there credibility to this? I don't want to change out my RAM for RAM that sucks up more power and generates lots of heat. My Inspiron 1520 keeps itself reasonably cool and has a good battery life, both reasons why I purchased the slowest processor available on the system at the time (all of these processors are just fast as hell nowadays and even the slowest is very fast until you do gaming or video editing or whatever).
