well a friend of mine cant get 2 games on his lappy so he's giving them to me. The games are GTA IV and Mirror's Edge. I was wondering how my m1530 would put up against these games.im not looking to max them out but what fps would i get if i installed them?

    specs are in signature.

BTW im not running vista, i have windows 7 installed.

You have pretty much the same system as me, except for windows 7.

GTA IV runs fine, as long as you're realistic about what you want out of the game - I run it in 800x600 with a draw distance of about 20, and its smooth and easily playable.

No idea about Mirror's Edge :]

I tried Mirror's Edge on my m1330. Its at very low quality with average framerates. Your gpu is better though, so you should manage it at low/medium.

Get a high framerate on that game though, the smoothness goes well with the gameplay.

I'm sure you can get an acceptable fps in Mirror's Edge. Its not that demanding.

I hope so too since tomorrow after school im gonna go pick the games up. I just hope my t8300 can hold up.

also maybe i can oc my 8400 to around 670 core (ive managed to hit 685 but it freezes after an hour of playing), even though it will do close to nothing every frame counts :D.

GTA IV is ridiculously demanding. Most other games should run a lot better than GTA does.

is it because that GTA needs to be optimized? didnt rockstar have to come out with patches for the previous GTA's to make them run better?
