I just got my Dell Studio XPS 16 2 weeks ago. The optical drive of it is DVD drive, but I would like to change it to Blue ray drive. I made a call to Dell and asked if I could change the DVD drive to Blue Ray drive, however, I was told that for the dell studio xps 16, once the DVD drive has been a part of the laptop, it cannot be changed as it is a slot loading drive.
Also, the fingerprint problem of the laptop is serious, needa clean it every time.
So i wanna ask if it is possible to return my laptop to dell for credit, but not for refund, because I found a better laptop from dell's website and I would like to get it. Can I return the one I am currently using now for credit, and then buy a new one with adding money with it. Anyone try that before?
p.s. the laptop is still 100% new and i bought it in Australia.
    Thanks!

yes, you can upgrade to bluray, dell just doesnt have the option to do it for you, finding the slot loader is hard to come by, and youll probably have to wait until they become more easily available, and finally they will be way more expensive than if you bought it in the machine in the first place.

return it within 21 days, and if you have no problems with it you may be charged a restocking free.
