Which one of these are the best for the 1530....Ive heard alot of good things about getting the LED moniter instead of the plane LCD is LED that much better?

Here are the 3 options dell offers...

    1-Glossy, widescreen 15.4 inch LCD (1280x800) & 2.0 MP Camera

    2-High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch LCD(1440x900) & 2MP

    3- High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch LED LCD (1440x900) & 2.0 M

I work for the NWS service and do alot of web surfing and use java based loops alot.

Here are 2 systems iam looking at.

Dell XPS M1530 Laptop Computer (Intel Core 2 Duo T7500, 250GB HDD, 4GB RAM) (Intel Core 2 Duo (2.2 GHz), 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM, 15.4, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition)

Dell XPS M1530 Laptop Computer (Intel Core 2 Duo T8300, 320GB HDD, 4GB RAM) (Intel Core 2 Duo (2.4 GHz), 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM, 15.4, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition)

If you have the money go with laptop#2. you wont feel a difference between the T7500 and the T8300, with obviously the T8300 being better.

    Also, screen #3

Screen Number #3 is MUCH BETTER than your other options.
WXGA+ or WSXGA is probably the best resolution for common tasks on a 15 inch screen. Also LED is ALOT brighter than CCFL screen, about twice as bright? while also using less power (at the same brightness I can get around 5 hours of battery life with 9cell on LED).

the upgrade costs 75$ from WXGA+ CCFL but its worth it. Since its pretty non trivial to replace your LCD yourself for that cost.

I third that! LOL :D ..I would go with screen #3 if given the choice for my 1530 ;) :)

I have the LG LCD 1440x900 for my 1530, and it works awesome for me. However, I will have the LED on my next lappy purchase! :)

Also, the T8300 would be my choice, it tends to run cooler, and good power efficiency (bat life etc).

    Cin ;) :)
