Hi, I'm hoping to prolong the battery usage for my 6 cell for XPS 16 . Are there any tips I could use ? Also, I have a few questions.

    1) Do I need to remove the battery once it's fully charged when I'm running on AC ? Some say leave it there, some say remove it, does it matter?

    2) Also, can i not use my battery below 40% and recharging it back often as it will deter the battery life cycle ? meaning i should always keep it above 40%?

    3) Should I run on battery occasionally or purely AC w/wo battery ?

Thanks folks for clearing my doubts.

When im in ac im using this option Disable battery charging

    you can change it through

click in battery icon then more power option you can find battery meter in the left handed . click it in the 2nd tabe click disable battery charging
this beteer than removing and puting the battery every time

i leave my battery in when using my laptop, if you are on ac, and get it power outage, it acts as a ups.

when i am not using the laptop, i take the battery out and store it....that will prolong the life of the battery
