I have lately been having some problems with my computer. I have had the motherboard replaced once which fixed all my previous problems. I have been gaming alot lately and the computer would get pretty warm. Now often times my programs will freeze up and not respond whether the computer is warm or cold. Almost everytime I restart it it says windows cannot start and I have to try windows startup fixer thing but it doesnt work and i have to keep restarting it till it magically works. sometimes it goes to a blue screen and dumps the memory. and sometimes it just randomly shuts down on its own..but sometimes it works fine? Is the problem the hard drive? could it be the mother board again? any advice before I contact customer service would be nice just so I know what I am dealing with.. thanks in advance.

Do the following items mean anything to you?
These points are important for anyone using regular, hard laptop use.

    1. Do you defrag regularly?

    2. Do you use and update a quality Virus program regularly?

    3. Do you use a laptop cooler or fan (blowing across the laptop?)

    4. Have you run " chkdsk " (without quotes) in the command prompt?
This will tell you if you have a corrupted MFT or index or security sector.

    5. How much memory do you have installed.
Any 'gamer' should have 3 or 4 GB memory. This is not to be debated.

    6. You must have 15% or so free space on your hard drive for programs to run effectively. Also, your paged memory will rise and fall in size as the need comes if you have wisely allowed it to be "system controlled."

    7. If you already have a loud "Yes" to the above then you have ruled out themysterious.

Try to make the above options a regular part of your computer experience.
You will then be in control, instead of wandering in a strange world where things go wrong regularly.

Oh, I forgot probably the most important item...
You should have a quality voltage regulator or line conditioner with a quality UPS installed before your electronics.
This will save you from replacing the whole laptop or workstation from time to time.
