    Problem with internal mic on my M1330

    Hey, I had a system update, but now my microphone isn't working :(
    I was hoping someone here could help me fix it!
    Here is what my menu for recording devices looks:

    I'm not sure which one is actually the mic built into the XPS M1330. Do you need any more info to help?
    I'm running Vista on an XPS M1330.

    Ok, so I figured out the problem. If I close my lid partially so its a 45* angle, it works. When I have my laptop opened so its a 90* angle, the mic doesn't work. There must be a short in the hinge area. And I am out of warranty :/ I guess I'll have to take it a part myself.
