    Hi everyone!
The original power adapter of my laptop does not work anymore and so today I have bought an other one from Trust. The adapter works but it does not charghe the battery.
Dell quick set program says that he can not recognize the adaptor and so my pc could be slower :)rolleyes: ) and that the battery will not be recharged.
I don't know if it is something Dell does in order to avoid people to buy non original adapter (but I have bought the trust adapter in half an hour, while for the dell adapter i have to wait some days!!) or if there is something wrong in my adapter. I believe the setting of the output is ok: i have set it to 19, should be 19.5 but i can choose only between 19 and 20 (however, even with 20 i have the same error)
    thanks everyone for the support!

I have also noticed that even when the pc is shut down the battery does not load, and when i boot it it gives an error about the power adapter.
do you think that buying the original dell adapter should solve the problem?
also my battery is not original from dell..
