I am following the bloatware removal guide and once I get to the part in the setup where I have to point it to the Intel Matrix file I put on a CD, it eliminates all but one file that it says is compatible with my system, but then that file will not work to install.

Is this because I am trying to install a 64 bit Vista?

That's odd if so because I entered my service tag and it gave me that file on dell.com

I'm not sure how to resolve your problem, but if you don't get it answered here, I would suggest to try to post your problem in the guide that you used to get you this far.

    Hope this helps somehow... :)

I've now found the 64 bit version of the intel matrix driver on dell.com and extracted the files to a cd.

i once again tried to install it during the windows setup and it finds 1 file that says is compatible with hardware on this computer and then it wont work.
