Mwahaha you beat me to it.

Good to see though. I'm happy with my T7700 but those who have been considering a m1530, GO NOW! :D

It's up on the Aussie site but their "customize" web page is a bit screwed up on the non-red-deal. It currently doesn't actually show the processor choice and when you submit your order it complains that you didn't pick 1. Anybody would think Dell really don't want to sell those Penryn systems on the XPS 1530

For an organisation that sells most of it's products through the web, the Australian Dell site is really poor sometimes. I guess I'll have to send them the carrier pigeon with the PO again

I'm returning mine and getting the new spec. I've only had mine for 5 days now.

    WANT TO GET
    T9300 (2.5ghz)
    3gb ram
    320GB 5400rpm
    1440x900
    3 years accidental warranty
    $2102.10

    CURRENT
    T7500 (2.2ghz)
    2gb ram
    250GB 5400rpm
    I think its worth
    1440x900 (LG)
    3 years accidental warranty
    $1967.30

the price difference between the two is worth it!

My 21 day window is up tomorrow! I predicted it would be available the day after.

That's okay... I don't want to wait another 2-3 weeks just to get a slightly faster one. I'll just get a cpu in 2-3 months and drop it in.

Man the difference between the T7700 and the 9300 is not going to be worth a send back. (This is for my own case)

the t9300 is the upgrade for the t7500 and i am willing to send back my xps for the upgrade.
It has an extra 300mhz and 6mb cache and should have about 10% better battery life and performance.

I just called dell and ordered the new one and send mine back. I'll let you know how well it performs when i receive my new one :)

Anyone remember how long it was between when the M1330 with a Penryn was released to our notebook loving friends in the southern hemisphere and when it was offered in the USA? I don't think it was a full week, but I don't think it was the next day either.

Time to dust off the old charge card....

right now the option for upgrades from a T7250 (2GHz, 2MB) are:

    +$129.80 for T8300 (2.4GHz, 3MB)
    +$278.30 for T9300 (2.5GHz, 6MB) :D
    +$628.10 for T9500 (2.6GHz, 6MB)

All in Australian dollars so multiply everything by 0.94 to get it in USD....as for when it should come out in the US i expect it to be in a few days kind of like when the inspiron 1525 was released a few days later in the US.
