    Part number for XPS 16 Intel WiFi Link/WiMAX 5150

    In the near future I'd like to get one of these cards as replacement for a 5300 for the integrated WiMAX modem.

    Use Google shopping. An Intel 5150 card from any reputable source will work.

    Not in this case. It requires a 5150 half mini-card, and there are at least two different versions; IBM and Dell. They aren't inoperable. The ones on eBay right now are incompatible with Dell systems.

    I believe Lenovo whitelists their models, but I wasn't aware that Dell did since the 5100 and 5300 work fine. I assumed that it extended to the WiMAX variants. Do you have any link that shows why they don't work?
