As far as I know, overclocking your i5 CPU is impossible as far as I know, so unless you're really experienced in computers, I would forget about it.

Overclocking your GPU is much easier. Whether its worth it depends on what you're doing. It really helps in games but only when your video card is the bottleneck. If its a high graphics game like Crysis or BF3, then overclocking the GPU will help. If it is more of a CPU intensive game like Guild wars 2, or any MMORPG, then it wont do anything. One way to tell is to run GPU-Z while you're gaming and look at your GPU usage. If it's constantly at 99% then you will benefit from OCing.

To overclock, i personally like using nvidia inspector. It works and allows you to make a shortcut so OCing is as simple as clicking on that shortcut. How much to overclock? I would start by going +10% and running benchmarks to check the stability of the clocks.

If you're really interested in tuning out your laptop and are experienced with computer stuff, check out this thread:

I've had my GPU overclocked for months now--first to 735mhz, which is a 22% overclock, then down to 700, which is a 16% overclock. Peak CPU temps were scaring me a bit. But the performance gained is pretty significant, so definitely OC your GPU.
