I dont know if this has been brought up or not. But I have searched and searched. Is there ANY way to Overclock the Sandybridge i5`s ? Or atleast change it to where it stays maybe say 2.7ghz instead of saving power or jumping around

Using MSI Afterburner I get much better scores on GPU benchmarking. The only intel CPU's that can me overclocked are their Extreme Class and the i7-2600k.

Try using ThrottleStop to prevent throttling. You can also set the min CPU to a higher value in power options. I would recommend ThrottleStop, but increasing the minimum CPU value will result in poor battery life.

Yes as it's been stated ThrottleStop as the name implies will stop throttling but doing so can damage your motherboard. Also the i5 downclocks to save power and heat. EIST can be disabled but for most laptops it will put it to the slowest speeds.
