    Hiya folks,

After more than 4 years, my SXPS 16 is still fine, but the AC adapter is busted and I want to buy a new one. Before resorting to the third-party and eBay route, I want to try to buy a new OEM charger first.

While new charger is still available for sale in the US Dell website, the Australian site no longer offers it. I have already sent Dell an email, and will call them later, but I'm afraid all they will tell me is that it's no longer supported and won't know the answer to my next question. That's why I'm here.

So I looked for other models that might use similar chargers, and they definately have some 90W and 130W (and other monstrous ones for the 18 model) chargers for sale. So my question is, will those work for my SXPS16?

My chargers output is 90W and 4.62A, if any of you can tell me the specs on any of these, I would appreciate it, and I was also wondering if the pin is the same, would be a dag if the charger won't fit. And since I haven't kept up with lappies, other models that might use similar chargers for suggestions would be nice, but I think I covered the major ones.

    Alienware systems
M11 have the 90W but are expensive, the M14 have cheaper 130W chargers, very odd.

    XPS
    15 and 17 models

    Inspiron
    Loads of 90W chargers

    Thanks in advance.

-EDIT- I know that the chargers are universal, but would want a AU plug, that's why I want to buy from Dell Australia.

All of the Dell 90W adapters made over the last several years should be compatible with each other. A 90W adapter from a recent Inspiron/XPS should work fine with either SXPS 16.
