    I didn't know where else to post this question, hopefully its in the right place.

    I am having ongoing overheating issues with my XPS M1710 and I think Dell is going to replace the computer if they can't solve the problem. I don't want to get ripped off and want an equal or better computer than I already have if they decide to replace it. What computers should I be trying to go for, GPU's, Processors, Hard Drives etc...?

    My current XPS M1710 has

    Core 2 Duo T7600G @ 2.33 GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX

    the alienware m17x is the only "same or better" you can get from dell nowadays, unless they have some refurbished 1710 or 1730, but it is doubtful because both are out of production

    If your under warrenty Dell will fix it.

    However if your not, like i was, dont expect anything
