    Hi,

My girl friend has bought Dell bluetooth headset along with 1330. At first the sound was awful, then I reinstalled the bluetooth driver available from Dell support website. The sound quality has improved a lot but it works only when I sit in front of the laptop with intermittent lag.

The same headset when I use with my HP nc8430 works perfect without any lag for more than ten meters away behind the wall.

What could be the problem. Do you people think it is a hardware problem? I am thinking of contacting Dell as the laptop is still under warranty. Any suggestions?

Edit: FYI It has Dell TrueMobile 355 internal Bluetooth Module

Contacting Dell seems the right thing to do.

I noticed as well that the bluetooth range of the M1330 with the 355 BT module is quite limitied compared to what other notebooks deliver.

If you have a sensitive headset, you might experience what you do. I use an external BT stick on my M1330 to extend the range.
