Ahhhhh... Bad... :( Thats why, its a big NO NO to eat n drink near the laptop for me... just not worth it :D

Btw, have you tried using one of those waxing things? my friend in my lab recently brushed a screwdriver on the palmrest, and we used one of those metal waxing / polishing things we had in the lab.. can't remember its name though right now... but can find out tomorrow..

If you have completecare, Dell will send you a new palmrest to swap out. I have done this plenty of times.

Gotta love the CC warranty - it's worth it's weight in gold!

Oh really? That's funny, cause I had a few scratches on my E1705, had completecare warranty, and they said scratches are not covered under warranty. :(

Lol I have noticed a slight tiny tiny dimple in my palm rest near the Intel Centrino sticker, it really bugged me at first but you literally can hardly see it, sometimes not even when you are trying to see it.

Still I know it's there lol.

In the UK anybody know can I upgrade to complte accidental damage cover for my XPS?

i think someone already asked before, but if you didnt get complete care when u ordered the laptop can u still get it later, especially if u just got the laptop? cause i got mine a week ago and was worried about that id like to get it now if i can, all i have is a regular 3 year warranty.

ah thank you very much im going to look right into it and ill let you know how it goes. I opted against it when i ordered but now thats its here its so nice and i am just afraid ill do something to it and with the way its been running so well i plan to use it for a while, might as well get the best protection if i can.

    NP! Glad to help.. :)

Yes, if you think you might be *accidental* w/it...it's a good thought to get it!!! LOL..That's why I added it when I ordered my 1530. I have a 8/10 chance of being *accididental* every-so-often! :p  ;) :D

Plus this is my first lappy, so I don't want to mess anything up! : )

Yes, be sure to let us know when you have it ordered, etc.!

yes you can add it but it costs nearly double what it would have when you first got it
