    No Dell XPS Studio 17 inch?

    Hello,

    Has anyone heard anything regarding a Studio XPS 17 inch notebook? Earlier this year someone mentioned to me that one was coming in the Aug-Nov timeframe. I haven’t heard or read anything regarding this and now that there is a Dell inspiron 17 notebook that arrived during the summer in addition to the Dell Studio 17. They still also have the Dell XPS 17 inch (m1730) I believe. So I am assuming there will be no more new 17 inch notebooks at least not this year?

    Correct me if I a wrong but isn’t that Dell XPS 17 inch a gaming notebook? And don’t they own Alienware or something? ( again correct me if I am wrong). Maybe they should leave the gaming notebooks for Alienware and drop it and add a Dell Studio XPS 17 inch.

    Does anyone know how good a seller the Dell XPS 17 inch has been for them since its inception?


    As far as the Dell inspiron 17 is concerned I have not checked the specs/options for this but aren’t the Inspiron line notebooks a step down from the Dell XPS line? (I’m not saying they aren’t good performing notebooks)


    I was waiting to see it a 18 inch was going to show up but I am now seriously doubting that’s going to happen the trend now aday’s and in the near future seem to be the concentration on the netbook/lightweight/ultra thin notebooks.

    i think all the gaming laptops by dell are going to be alienware branded now.

    anyone saying a new Dell branded 17 inch gaming notebook is probably just speculating or creating rumors,
