I just got new xps l502x.

However after I turn it on for an hour and open a few websites, listen to the song, watching youtube. (Just did those things to test if everything is ok), the AC Adapter is getting extremely hot! I can say that it's not just hot but too hot. I got acer laptop and the adapter didn't get this hot although I left it on for 5-6 hours.

Is it normal? if not, what can I do to fix it?

Basically, if you think it's going to explode or ignite, you should call Dell and ask for a new one.

You shouldn't attempt to fix a bad adapter yourself.

One time a blanket fell on top of my SXPS16 brick while I was converting some video and after awhile it got so hot it tripped on the thermal overload.

My XPS's brick will get warm to the touch but definitely not what I'd call hot. I assume it has some sort of thermal trip as well but from what you describe I'd see about getting Dell to replace it anyway if I were you.

Mine gets a bit warm under normal uses, slightly hot but not too much when playing games, I guess it's normal, unless you're talking about too hot to touch, then I'd have dell replace it.

Normally my power brick gets really hot too, but not so much where you can't hold it in your hand or start a forest fire. If it's steaming hot then I wouldn't say it's normal.
