I got my XPS M1710 SE Formula red a few days ago, but it doesn't have a pcmia slot, only the new "ExpressCard" slot. I wanted a soundblaster audigy notebook, but i cant use it. Does anybody know of an adapter or any way to make it work in my laptop? I feel like this new standard is going to take a long time to catch on. Only a few things are in Express card format right now. (sata raid controllers, firewire, and media card readers is all I have found so far) fry's electronics (biggest computer store in california) doesnt even have wireless cards in ExpressCards yet, no online search i have done has shown any either. Please Help!

The only way you can use a sound card is via USB. There is an adapter for Express card to PCMCIA coming out but it's not out yet.

This is one company that is planning on an adapter. I haven't seen any changes for about a month now though.

I remember someone in NBF asking the company about the release date, and the answer was end of Q3-Q4 of this year.

Im sure you got the sound upgrade too? (the software) that truely does work...
Im waiting for a TV Tuner Card thats in Express Card Format...HP has one for its 17 inch -
yeah i got the upgrade, but I wanna record dj mixes live, high quality is a must, i already chunk up the processor with my serato scratch live software, so a good line in 96/24 card would be nice.
