I get the costco Magazine and saw this add - the laptop at the bottom is not an Ultrabook - or maybe the 14z, but what is this big thing in the middle?

It tapers to super thin and the corners are not so rounded.

It is not the XPS 13; it is not a MacBook Air ... I don't think Dell would use a picture of someone else's product. Not even sure what the connector is with 4 conductors - USB or something else?

Could this be what is coming soon?

I think you guys missed something, this is not a Dell ad. It's an Intel ad. The system in the center is probably a reference system, it's probably just there to represent the ultrabook concept. The system in the corner definitely looks like an Inspiron 14z.

If you're interested in something like this the ASUS UX21A is of similar thickness and it has a 1080p screen.

It is an "artist's concept." But there is an actual one very much like it:

If you zoom in on the bottom, you can see it's an inspiron. Most likely a Inspiron 14z like the poster above said.

Mockup looks a lot like the MBA

MBA is different, That was the first thing i checked.. but i mistakenly thought it was a Dell ad - when really it is an Intel add with a little Dell thrown in. Ah well.

Really wish the bottom lefthand picture was of a Dell XPS 14 ultrabook rather than an Inspiron. On a side note, any clue when the newly released Dell XPS 14 & 15 inch models should make their way to Costco cause they already stock the Dell XPS 13?
