    for m1730 ,x9000cpu with windows power options set to high performance and running cpu-z in the background,does your core clock stay at 2.8x14 gigs on idle without loading it..

    mine seems to stay at 1.2x6 gigs 98% of the time ..Thanks I really appreciate it.

    dynamic downclocking maybe? (or speedstep, as Intel calls it)

    yeah i know what its called,lol,and what it does ,shouldn't down clock at all when set to ..Min 100%and max 100% just need comparison, Thats it .
