    what does it take to get nvidia to issue a recall? have any consumer reporters been contacted on this or lawsuits OR ANYTHING? :confused:

    Nvidia and Dell have extended the warranties on the cards affected.

    A recall occurs usually when a product has a chance of causing harm to the user, so unless these cards start blowing up or melting laps, it's unlikely to occur.

    extending warranties is fixing the problem!!

    i wish my computer would blow up on me, i want my thousand bucks back

    Yes, extending warranties is fixing the problem - as in, if there's a problem, they'll fix it.

    What you have is buyer's remorse, not a broken laptop.

    what I have is a laptop that's dead as soon as my warranty is expired.

    also people shouldn't be "grateful" for these warranties because ideally they shouldn't have to rely on them to begin with.

    I didn't say you had to be grateful. I said that there's almost no chance of Nvidia or Dell issuing a recall.

    Do you have a link to which cards were affected and given an extended warranty? My sister's M1710's nVidia GPU fried again so I'd like to see if the 7900Go GTX is part of that extended warranty.
