This past summer, I took it upon myself to completely tear down an old xps m1730 and completely rebuild it from scratch.

I updated the ram, Bluetooth, blu-ray, processor, battery, keyboard, and even replaced all the plastics!

Today my laptop looks better then it did when it was new ( figuratively speaking of course)

My full report is on my blog at http://jimgpayne.com/2011/09/18/did-you-ever-build-a-computer/.

Good job! Just read it all. If you could of gotten the 9800's it would of been perfect though ;) did you take any pictures at all during the rebuild?

I took some with my cell while I was doing it. But am not sure if I saved them. I'll have to check.
