Here is My 1st attempt at a review: XPS M1530
This review is geared for the regular users just like me... the experience you have when you first get it from Dell.
It's also the only one I've seen with the Tuxedo Black... the others reviews all have the RED version.

Great pictures and a great start!!! It ws a great idea to take the pictures showing the bigscreen qualities with this laptop.

I use my HDMI to HDMI to my 42" in my games room regularly coupled with my Dell bluetooth mouse and keyboard and the remote that came with the M1330.

It's great to sit back on the couch and use the system like this as well as watching videos and movies.

    Repped.

"Ordered on 2/1/08 and FedEX delivered on 1/18/08" Typo, I'm guessing. You mean 1/1/08, right? Nice pictures of the M1530.

What do you think of the color and contrast of the LCD? I do a lot of image editing and need a new laptop.

Do you really see a huge difference with the SD and the readyboost? I really thought that feature was a bunch of crap.

I guess its worth a try. Once I get my replacement m1530, im wiping it and putting Vista 64 on seeing how Dell upgraded my ram to 4GB for free after messing up a total of five times now. :D Thanks for the quick reply

    Right click on Desktop/Personalize/Display Settings/Advance Settings/Monitor/Properties/Details/Device Descriptions/Hardware Ids =
    Monitor/LPLDF00

Another way is click Start Right click computer/properties/Device Manager/Monitor/Properties/Details/Device Descriptions/Hardware Ids

Nice review! Good pictures. Often people who post laptop pictures for reviews have all these blurry pics with poor angles, but yours are good!

It is a common problem with the dell m1530 range, just noticed it on yours

on the 10th pic you can clearly see the bump on the right hand side, on the function keys, the keyboard dips up and back down again

Some people are majorly bothered by this, but for you obviously not :D

Hey Jack.. I prefer your review better! I like the amateur pics of different angles versus the professional white background pictures on the notebook check review.

It would help if you didn't center your paragraphs as that makes it hard to read. Question: does the 9cell battery stick out and make it awkward?

Ok, you have a good point!

I have the text centered because the photo's are centered.

So what do the rest of you folks think? Leave it centered or put everything on the left side?

    http://corvettec3.com/dellXPSm1530review.htm

On the battery... yes it sticks out some, but I like it as it helps the air flow and it still keeps with the tapered look.
