Does anyone know how to show hidden partitions used for OS recovery? I have the samsung HM640JJ 640gb HDD and the total disk space is only shown as 596GB + 100MB windows reserved space. I suppose it's the hidden OS recovery that's taking up the missing 40GB. Does anyone know how to make it show up in Disk Management so I can format and redistribute it?

The recovery partition is showing up for me...

Perhaps it wouldn't if the HDD that came with the comp was the internal system disk, rather than externalised (after I swapped it out for an SSD)?

Have decided to keep the recovery part just in case - but I'm sure I'd be able to access it and format it OK if I needed the space that desperately ;p

    cheers,
    dave
