    Anyone else have this problem?

I try and paste large amounts of text (several pages worth) into a new word document, and it crashes, saying problem was with DEP security. I try and turn that off for works and it won't let me.

I talked w/Dell tech support and they had said to uninstall and reinstall. Which didn't work. Which they then advised to call a different department at Dell, something more associated with software issues...

I am running Vista 64-bit... anyone w/similar configs having similar problems or advise?

If you turn off User Account Control, do you have the same issue?
(Assuming you have it on right now)

That happens with large images in MS Word 2007 as well.

    Ok.
Spent today with Dell tech support, etc. Referred me Microsoft, who said it is an OEM copy and they have no responsibility/warranty/help coverage. So back to Dell.

Long wait with Dell, and someone who sounds like the are only reading from a card, saying only solutions are pay money to an on site software person to try and resolve issue, uninstall and reinstall application, and to restore computer to factory setting and seeing if that will help it work.
If not, then solution is to uninstall program. Or pay more for Office 2007.
    Solution must be Open Office.

Can anyone else try this out and see if they have a similar problem?

Just cut and past a large amount of text into a new word document.

    Thanks.
