Hey guys I ordered my system with 3 GB of DDR3 SDRAM RAM. However I wanted to upgrade that to 4 GB. I think in this case I would have to order a 2GB Module for xps 16 correct? and replace the 1 GB with 2 GB (dual dimms). ? I also wanted to know do I have to let Dell know about this? As in phone and let them know because I don't want my warranty voided.

yes, you're correct...you'll have to order a 2GB stick and replace the 1GB stick in the system. And no, upgrading memory doesn't void your warranty.

i hate how they dont offer 2gb as a minimum since dell seems to *eff* you over with memory prices (also hdd).
