    Hi,

I did the A06 Bios update for my laptop.but after i did a clean install,i found that and for the first time that only 7.9GB of memory is usable.I did replaced the 8GB RAM with the old 4GB and also it shows 3.9GB usable.I did check msconfig to find if any memory reserved to boot process but none.I know it is not that much memory but i want to understand for what reason being used?.thanks

It is the memory reserved for the built in GPU on the processer.

There's always some memory reserved. It's not a big deal.
