I've been following the thread regarding installing XP on my XPS M1530. How do I go about installing Media Direct on my new, clean, bare HD before I install XP? I assume I use the CD's that came with my laptop and it will create a new partition so when I go to install Windows XP it will who two partitions and the larger one will be the blank partition to install XP on?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

insert media direct cd boot from cd by pressing F12 at dell screen, then Press 1 then Y then it wipe the HD and create a partition for the MD3 and then simply boot from xp cd then install on the other partition then insert MD3 cd straight after xp install and load on MD3 then follow with drivers.

Thanks juzza88. Since I'm using a new bare HD all I should have to do is make sure boot from CD is enabled in BIOS first, insert the Dell Media Direct CD and then do I still need to press 1 and Y since it's a bare HD?
