tried searching, but couldn't really work that out. And it has probably been asked before but... if I do a clean reinstall of Vista on my new XPS M1530 following the sticky, how do I get access to my 24month McAfee subscription? Or is that just based on the account I created with McAfee?

    Thanks!

btw, in New Zealand and received my XPS a week early. Built in Malaysia and it looks great. Only bummer is a whining noise when I switch to battery power and don't use maximum brightness. Haven't worked that one out yet... Specs:
    T9300, 3Gb, 9cell battery, 1440x900 screen, 320Gb 5400rpm hdd, black.

    You just install it again.

You will have to register/er....activate your product with your registered information.

Your subscription (time) limit will be based off your first registration.

Eh. I personally like Avast much better than any of the ones that came bundled with my xps. And it's free.

McAfee is kinda a slow application, i would go for Nod32(pay $, switch after ur subscription to mcafee is gone if u dont want to waste money), or AVG (Free)

    Hi alll,

Thanks for the replies. To move from a 20% discount to a 25% discount at ordering, I had too increase the ordervalue with aboout 50 NZ$. So I added a 24month subscription too McAfee. That's why I am using it!

I will just go ahead and if I can't reactivate, I guess I will just give dell a calll!
