    Hi everyone

I've had my Dell M90 for almost two years without any problems and I think it's truly a great machine. Until recently some strange issues have been rising up. The screen distorts partially, leaving the system pretty much useless. Taking a screenshot does not allow me to save the distortions! I'm not overlocking or anything, no modifications whatsoever. Ive included photographs of the distortions. Also contacted Dell support, as its still under warranty. Perhaps anyone here has had similar experiences? Should I reinstall the whole system? (reluctant to do so...)

    many thanks for your thoughts

Well, you can determine if it's the LCD or the GPU (I personally think this looks like a problem with the LCD itself, or the cable from the mobo to the LCD) by hooking it up to an external monitor. If the problem isn't on the external monitor, you know your GPU is okay. If it is, you know it's the GPU. Since it's under warranty, this is almost irrelevant. Tell dell that you have tried updating your BIOS, your drivers, and that you are not overclocking. They should just fix it for you.

Thanks for your thoughts. Hooking it up to another monitor is a really good idea. I'll try that!

Either way, I can tell you that it's a hardware problem, not a software one.
