    hello all

    i have had my m1710 for a few months now and i have just relized that the two usb ports next to the cd-rom do not work or power up or whatever they need to do so that my mouse will work and so my camera will connect. Can somebody help me with this one? suggestions? im sure its super easy but im not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to this kind of thing, thats why i come to you guys ;)

    Actually that isn't super easy...don't worry about that...you're fine.

    If you can, try booting into BIOS (hit I think F10 on Dells) or MediaDirect and plug in the MOUSE on one of those ports. Does it work then?
