I recently installed windows XP on my M1530. Everything works fine except attaching a second monitor. When I connect the second monitor windows recognises it but in the config panel it seems greyed out and states "not active" I can activate it by clicking on "expand windows desktop" but then for some reason the resolution from the 2 screens is linked.

Do you have Span mode on? I think you can check by going Display Settings > Advanced > GeForce Tab > Additional Properties and then look at nView Display Settings. There's a few additional options there, but you generally would want Span turned off...

Also, I have a program called UltraMon which is the best application i've found for a multiple monitor setups - it might unlock a few options for you such as individual screen resolutions (although you should be able to change that in the display settings :\)
