OK, I have now like 3 months with my XPS, and I found very annoying that the media volume button takes like 15 seconds to rise the volume and vice versa in my lovely lappy.

So I found a way fix to this, and I decided to share here, maybe some people like me found annoying this too and they don't know about this software I use for fixing it..

The software is 3RVX Its a freeware that looks like the MAC OS X volume indicator.

here is a link where you can see more about this freeware:

    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Deskto...esktop-Enhancements/3r1c-Volume-Control.shtml

And here is where you can download the latest 3RVX 2.5

    http://209.85.173.132/search?q=cach...RVX&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us&client=firefox-a

The way to configure this freeware is very simple, but I'm going to post some pictures to make sure that everybody can adjust the volume the way they want.

After install the freeware, you have to open the program and make a check in Run on windows Start Up and a check in Custom Volume change amount I set the volume amount to 10%, that means that every time the media button is pressed it rise a 10% of volume, you can set it higher if you want.

But that's not all, for make this thing work you also have to set the buttons who is going to control this application, so you have to click on the Hotkey Setup tab and set your three buttons (mute, volume up and volume down)

To set up a button just press in the Key Combination button and the pres the key you wan to use (here is when you press one of the M1530 Media buttons!!!).. and then you can control the volume decrease and increase!!!! YAYYY!!..

also you can play with the Skin Chooser tab in case you don't like the Mac OS skin.

I almost forgot, if you have the Dell Quick Set application every time you press the volume you will see two volume indicator bars (the Dell QS and the 3RVX) I choose to uninstall Dell QS since I don't actually see any REAL use of this application.

P.S: I hope every body can understand what I wrote, sorry for my screwed english..
P.S: I don't think this is a real fix for the speed of the media buttons but work great for me, and the volume increase and decrease the way I want now (faster).
