    Hi,

I have recently posted about issues I was getting in Fallout 3 and several people have suggested that I use the NVidia Beta Drivers.

I was just wondering what other people's experiances have been with the M1530 and the beta drivers? I have tried to search for answers, but they seem thin at best.

I am currently using the A09 BIOS drivers and have discovered that the A12 ones are required for the beta drivers. The only difference I can gather A12 has over A09 is that A12 lets the laptop get hotter before putting the fans on, which seems a little backwards to me!

    Thanks,

Up to you, most users have no issues with A12. I use the Nvidia drivers (179.28) with no issues. It is your call.

I use 179.28 and plan to for a long time. My maximum GPU temp when gaming dropped about 4C and the driver has given me zero trouble in any game I play.
Then again I only play older, less GPU intensive games. But I do play Crysis occasionally and it runs great (Medium settings, 25-30 fps).

The newer 179.48 is supposed to perform slightly better so I'd try that one.

I generally play older games too, but I wanted Fallout 3 for the mods!

I will probably try the A12 BIOS and 179.48 drivers. I still find the fact (whether its true or not) that it runs hotter than the A09, a little strange.

Thanks for the info so far!

I use the latest nVidia beta laptop drivers and they are pretty much perfect. HDMI output wouldn't scale correctly (black bars) with the laptopvideo2go drivers.

COD5 works great at 1440x900 resolution at medium settings
