    So I just downloaded and ran 3dmark06 for the first time on this computer and got a score of 4766...which is pretty decent right??

    Anyways, my main question is related to the 3dmark GPU status of my laptop. It reads the card as Geforce Go 8600 GS . . . I swear this is supposed to be a GT? It says GT in nvidia control panel

    Yes, for stock its pretty ecent...
    and yes, it reads as GS, but its GT, dont worry :)
