First of all i would like to apologize for my bad english, I m from Sweden.
Okej the thing is i got an M1530 (the usuall, exept the CPU is a 2.2ghz). I m running Vista and it works really nice. But iv tested to run ubuntu from the CD and i really like that OS.

So you guys know any speciell guide on how to install ubuntu on a m1530? My HDD is 250 so i liked to split it in half so i can have around 100gb in ubuntu because i will have my music there. ATM i have an small partion(MD) and the big one :)C).

So how should i do to first make the HDD in smaller piaces and then install ubuntu.

Again, sorry for my poor english, iv tried to searched but havent got any goot results.

I would just use the Wubi install option. This way you can have your Ubuntu while not jeopardizing your Vista installation by partitioning. To do this, simply put the Ubuntu CD/DVD and then run Wubi and it will setup your Ubuntu install while in Windows. Then when you boot your laptop you will have the options to use Vista or Ubuntu.
