    M1530 - Coolest Drivers

    Hi

    Do you guys know what the coolest drivers are? for the m1530 or mainly the best but i am looking for the coolest.

    Dell recomended ones are probably the coolest ones... (temperature wise)

    ok do you know anyone's that are cool and can overclock or do i just get teh dell driver no. and get that off laptopvideo2go?

    Well, not under load. For 64bit versions of drivers

    so far pretty much all of them have been the same for me.
    Regardless of which drivers I use, what happens is the GPU starts at around
    56C then slowly creeps up to ~66-70C depending on Bios version (which is why i prefer A08). At which point the fan kicks in till it cools back down to 56C. and the cycle repeats. (the dell 176.44 drivers seemed to stay coolest for 32 bit version, but 64 bit version seemed as bad as all the others)

    I didnt time the exact times for each of these cycles, but offhand they all seemed pretty similar.

    Under load, i dont think the few degrees really makes a difference the fan will be on 100% anyhow keeping the temperature reasonable and never over ~75~80C. Just go for the best performing.

    Dell drivers can be overclocked using rivatuner or such...
    You could try different versinos though... i remeber 169.28 were really cool drivers...
    but if you're worrying too much about heat, dont overclock, and get a cooling pad and stuff like that :)
